After a soft opening over the weekend, the new Morris Township butcher shop is making it official this Friday.
Nugent’s Prime Meat Market has been in the works for almost a year.
"On Friday July 5 (at 10 a.m.), Mayor Peter Mancuso and Deputy Mayor Bruce Sisler will be at Nugent’s Meat Market on Speedwell Avenue to “ceremoniously” cut the first piece of meat," said Timothy Quinn, Township administrator. "The Township is excited to have this new business in Morris Township."
A few local guys are looking to recreate that experience where you'd go into a family-owned butcher shop whose employees knew your name and order.
Howard Horowitz, Tony Prizzi and Tim Nugent are opening up Nugent’s Prime Meat Market between Elite Picture Framing and Epitome Style Lounge on Speedwell Avenue. All three are from Morris Township.
