JCP&L: Morristown, Morris Township Almost Completely Restored

MORRISTOWN, NJ—The number of power outages in Morristown and Morris Township decreased considerably, with both municipalities reporting numbers in the teens on Monday night. Jersey Central Power & Light set an estimated restoration time of 11:30 p.m. tonight.

"Utility crews are addressing many localized issues and restoring individual customers," a statement from the company said. " This requires crews to travel to individual locations to restore about 2,800 JCP&L customers [statewide] who remain without power. This is the most time-consuming, labor intensive and complex part of service restoration."

The utility has estimated restoration times of tonight at 10:00 p.m. or 11:30 p.m. for all of Morris County's 499 outages.
