JCP&L: Power Restored For 85 Percent Of Customers By Saturday
The utility reported more than 2,000 restorations in Morristown on Friday
MORRISTOWN, NJ—Jersey Central Power & Light said it would have power restored to most of northern and central New Jersey by the end of Friday, with the remaining customers repaired by Tuesday night.
"Based on current outages and damage assessments, approximately 85% of affected customers are expected to be restored by the end of the day today," JCP&L said in a statement on Friday.
The company made progress in Morristown, trimming outages from 3,295 to 1,109. More than 1,400 repairs were made in Morris Township, leaving 2,014 without service.
