Update: Thousands In Morristown And Morris Twp. Still In The Dark
The two communities combined for nearly 7,000 outages three days after Isaias blasted NJ
MORRISTOWN, NJ—As reinforcements are called in by Jersey Central Power & Light and repair crews are hampered by difficult conditions, Morristown and Morris Township remained partially in the dark.
"Downed trees, broken branches and road closures continue to hamper crews' efforts to access
areas with damage to make repairs to broken poles and downed wires," said Cliff Cole, JCP&L spokesman.
About one third of Morristown's customers—3,295— were without power Friday, while in Morris Township, 3,422 of nearly 9,000 customers had no service.
