Update: Morris Township Power Fully Restored
Morristown still reported a few stubborn outages on Tuesday night.
MORRISTOWN, NJ—Nearly a week after Isaias wreaked havoc in New Jersey, Morris Township electricity is fully restored but a few customers are still without power in Morristown, as officials began to call for Jersey Central Power & Light to compensate customers.
The Morris County Freeholder Director issued a statement on Friday expressing frustration "over what seems to be an inordinate delay in reopening our roads and restoring power to many neighborhoods." On Tuesday, Parsippany's mayor sent a letter demanding JCP&L reimburse customers for lost perishables to the utility's CEO.
According to JCP&L, crews are now focused on restoring individual customers, like the four still in the dark in Morristown.

"This is the most time-consuming, labor intensive and complex part of service restoration," said a JCP&L statement. The company set an estimated restoration time for the remaining Morristown and outages of 11:30 p.m. Tuesday, the self-imposed deadline for getting the lights back on.
