Mayor Honors Laurie Kohr Fernsler for Years With Easter Parade

Mayor Jay Gillian presents Laurie Kohr Fernsler with a "Piece of the 'Walk" in recognition of her 37 years as emcee of Ocean City’s Easter Fashion Parade and Competition.

Joining the ceremony is Ocean City Public Relations Director Mark Soifer. A former Miss New Jersey, Fernsler also helped organize the popular event and secured an array of qualified judges.

“We appreciate your years of devoted service and all that you have done to make our Easter Fashion Promenade such a successful event,” Gillian said during a presentation at his office in City Hall.
