Porn-Watching Plastic Surgeon Sought Sex Favor During Surgery: NJ AG

The plastic surgeon is accused of asking sexual contact from a patient help him "get motivated" to finish her procedure, officials said.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A Bergen County plastic surgeon accused of watching porn at work and soliciting a sexual favor from a patient has had his license suspended, according to officials.

Peter Driscoll, of Goals Plastic Surgery in Ridgefield, saw his license temporarily suspended by the State Board of Medical Examiners amid multiple accusations of misconduct, New Jersey Attorney General Matthew Platkin announced Thursday.

“Physicians cannot be allowed to abuse their position of trust to engage in heinous acts such as those alleged here,” Platkin said.

“Any professional engaging in such sickening and predatory misconduct in the State of New Jersey will face severe consequences.”

Driscoll faces several charges linked to his tenure at Goals Plastic Surgery from August 2021 until June 2022, Platkin said.

One patient accused Driscoll of putting her hand on his thigh and asking her to rub his genitals to help him "get motivated," said the Attorney General.

The patient reported Driscoll to the practice manager who suspended Driscoll's surgical privileges, according to Platkin.

Driscoll also stands accused of watching porn and taking breaks during "numbing periods" — as anesthesia takes effect — and leaving the office before patients were out of recovery, against the practice's protocols, officials said.

“The vast majority of doctors in New Jersey adhere to the highest professional standards,” said Cari Fais, Acting Director of the Division of Consumer Affairs — which investigated the matter.

“But if a doctor fails to meet those standards, we will take action. Consumers in New Jersey deserve no less.”
