Bergen Medical Center Signs 3-Year Union Contract
Bergen New Bridge Medical Center signed a new 3-year contract with New Jersey's largest healthcare union, representing 14,000 workers.

PARAMUS, NJ — After two months of negotiations, New Jersey's largest healthcare labor union has recently ratified a 3-year agreement with Bergen New Bridge Medical Center, which will provide increases and benefits to help recruit and retain staff, the medical center said Wednesday in a news release.
Negotiated between the Health Professionals and Allied Employees Local 5091 and the medical center, the contract will add incentives for employees to pursue advanced degrees, alternative certifications, and competitive compensation.
“These negotiations with administration were collaborative from the onset of the process. We were able to negotiate a contract that will benefit our members and, ultimately, our patients," said Jeff Peck, RN, President of HPAE Local 5091 at Bergen New Bridge.
