2K to 5K Residents Face Night Without Power

Full service could take days to complete based on wind gusts

PSE&G is reporting between 2,001 and 5,000 Paramus customers are without power, according to its latest Outage Map. And many will have to suffer through the night as the company previously stated that power may not be restored for a week or more, according to a report on northjersey.com. The company had to cease any overnight repairs as wind gusts reach over 45mph. Crews would begin repair work around 8am Tuesday morning.

Power outages and downed electrical wires can be reported to PSE&G at 1-800-436-PSEG (7734).

Bergen County’s emergency management coordinator, Dwane Razzetti, told northjersey.com, said wind gusts of “up to 75 miles per hour” would present the most significant problems overnight. He said the most severe conditions were expected after midnight and would taper off to 10 to 25 mph by 9 this morning.
