Paramus' Childrens Aid & Family Services Adds Medical Facility
The Paramus-based family center will host a reception Thursday for its new medical services and advocacy center.

This Thursday the Paramus-based Childrens Aid & Family Services will host a reception to mark the opening of its new Medical Services and Advocacy Center for children in foster care with special needs.
The community is invited to tour the center, meet the staff and see first-hand the results of the many supporters whose generosity went into this new part of the center.
The reception is set for Thursday, May 16 from 6 to 8:30 p.m. at 200 Robin Road, Paramus.

Children's Aid and Family Services has a strong reputation for helping to find solutions for some of the most disadvantaged, medically needy and traumitized children in the state.
The Medical Services and Advocacy Center is the first of its type in the state and will provides a new approach to medical care, the center said this week in a statement. It will be led by Dr. Anne Arstrong-Coben, an assistant clinical professor of pediatrics at Columbia University Medical Center.

The facility will provide onsite medical screenings, triage and treatment. The center will also work as a liasion to all those involved including the children's medical care, foster care and those involved in planning for the children's futures.
