The Paramus Police Department arrested Daniel Tvert, 32, on Thursday for allegedly engaging in sexual activity with a 15-year-old acquaintance. The Old Tappan Police Department became aware of the incident during a separate investigation of Tvert. Old Tappan police shared the information with the Bergen County Prosecurtor's Office Special Victims Unit who then worked on interviewing the victim with the Paramus Police Department. According to police, Tvert was arrested after his vehicle was observed in a parking lot at the Garden State Plaza.  Tvert was charged with one count of sexual assault and one count of endangering the welfare of a child.
