Fatal Paramus School Bus Crash: From Tragedy To Indictment
The crash killed 2 people, a teacher and a student, and brought about sweeping changes to New Jersey school bus safety laws.

PARAMUS, NJ — The aftermath of the fatal school bus crash that killed student Miranda Vargas and teacher Jennifer Williamson May 17 continues to be felt, especially at East Brook Middle School, the greater Paramus community, and throughout New Jersey.
The bus' driver, Hudy Ludlow Sr., 78, of Woodland Park, was indicted on two counts of reckless vehicular homicide and 25 counts of assault by auto, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp announced Monday.

Teacher, Student Confirmed Dead In Paramus Field Trip Bus Crash
Student Miranda Vargas, and her teacher, Jennifer Williamson died in the crash.
"She was a beautiful, gentle soul with a passionate love for her family," Lorena Vargas stated. "Her smile was contagious and that is how we will forever remember her."
Students were screaming and hanging from their seat belts, the crash survivor says.
Community Mourns Dedicated Teacher Killed In Crash
Nick Daurio, a former student of Jennifer Williamson's, express his sadness regarding her death. Her husband, Kevin Kennedy, said in a statement that he and his wife were "in total love every day of our lives since the day our eyes first met" in 1994.
