Man Accused of Killing Paramus Woman Back in Court Tuesday

Philip Cise to appear in Pennsylvania court for preliminary hearing.

The man accused of killing a young Paramus woman with his vehicle last summer will appear in Pennsylvania court Tuesday for a preliminary hearing on the vehicular homicide charges the 49-year old from Dover faces.

Philip Cise is said to have been driving the Chevy pickup truck which struck Gabrielle Reuveni, 20, of Paramus while she was jogging along the berm of Route 507 in Palmyra Township while on vacation with her family last July 14, according to Pennsylvania state police.

Cise was not charged at the time of the crash but months later, blood tests showed he had gabapentin in his system at the time of the crash, according to a NorthJersey.com report. Cise did not have a prescription for the painkiller according to reports.

He faces charges including homicide by vehicle while driving under the influence, homicide by vehicle, careless driving and other charges including according to Pennsylvania state police.

Cise was transferred to a Pennsylvania jail earlier this month after being sentenced to jail time for minor charges in Morris County Superior Court. Maximum bail was set as he awaits trial.
