Man Arrested, Charged In 2022 Sex Assault In Bergen: Prosecutor

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A man was just arrested in connection with a 2022 sexual assault of a local woman, according to authorities.

Andre "Dre" Williams, 41, was linked last week to the alleged incident that occurred last July in Elmwood Park, police officials said.

The Paterson man was charged with aggravated sexual assault and criminal restraint, and was arrested Friday. He was then remanded to the Bergen County Jail pending an initial court appearance, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.

The defendant was allegedly aided in the act by another person, who has not yet been identified, a complaint said.
