Mosque Application Goes Before Zoning Board This Week

MONDAY:Borough Hall is closed in recognition of Columbus Day.

TUESDAY: The Council meets at 7pm for a work session in the lower level Caucus Room.

WEDNESDAY: The Paramus Public Library in partnership with the Mayors Wellness Campaign hosts its second "Staying Healthy at Your Library," series from 7 to 8:30pm with "Healthy Cooking for the Busy Paramus Family: Cooking Demonstration/Tasting" presented by The Valley Hospital's Janet Brancato, M.S., R.D. & John Graziano, Executive Chef Manager.

THURSDAY: The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 7:30pm to begin hearing an applcation by the Muslim Cultural Center of Bergen County to construct a three-story mosque on Paramus Road.

WEEKEND:  On Sunday the Bergen County Utilities Authority will host its next Household Hazardous Waste Collection, this time at Bergen Community College from 9am to 3pm. Bergen County residents can drop off the following items: Aerosol Cans, Anti-Freeze, Batteries (vehicle & rechargeable), Blacktop Sealers, Bug Spray, Disinfectants, Drain Cleaners, Fertilizer, Fire Extinguishers, Fluorescent Light Bulbs, Gasoline, Glue, Herbicides, Insecticides, Kerosene, Lighter Fluid, Mercury Switches, Oil Filters (Used), Paints & Varnishes, Pesticides, Photographic Chemicals, Propane Gas Cylinders, Solvents & Thinners, Thermostats/Thermometers and Used Motor Oil.
