Newton's Laws and Hip-Hop at West Brook

Honeywell and NASA have teamed up to bring a hip-hop inspired educational program to Paramus middle schoolers.

Honeywell and NASA brought their FMA Live! Forces in Motion, an award winning show to West Brook Middle School on Oct. 9.

“The award-winning, action-packed show ... uses hip-hop music and dance, larger-than-life demonstrations and audience participation to engage middle school students to learn the principals of basic physics,” NASA and Honeywell said in a release.

According to the U.S. Department of Education's National Assessment of Educational Progress, almost 70 percent of U.S. schoolchildren are rated "less than proficient" in math and science.
