Operation Goody Bag Packs 1,200 Bags at Night of Remembrance

A dozen years later, goody bags are still being packed to show appreciation for military veterans and first responders.

Operation Goody Bag is an organization with the goal of remembering those lost on September 11 and to support military men and women.

According to their website, Operation Goody Bag has been in existence for 12 years and has shared more than 572,000 bags in 12 countries thanks to the involvement of 36 states across the country.

“Our mission is to remember those we lost on September 11th and to express support and appreciation to our military men and women, veteran and first responders through the gift of a goody bag,” says their website.

According to NJ.com, Operation Goody Bag held its annual Night of Remembrance in Paramus on Sept. 11 where 1,200 goody bags were packed.
