Paramus Catholic Rolls Despite Being 400 Miles from Home

Paramus Catholic took a 7-hour bus ride to play their fourth game of the season on the road against St. Ignatius of Cleveland last weekend.

Despite being in hostile territory over 400 miles from home, the Paladins put up 16 in the first quarter and never looked back. Paramus Catholic is now 4-0 on the season after winning 44-10 in Cleveland.

The nation’s top defenseive recruit, Jabrill Peppers, locked down his side of the field and impressed onlookers.

According to the Detroit Free Press, Peppers came up with three tackles, broke up three passes and recorded a sack despite sitting out the second quarter due to an injury.

Defensive end Terrence Harris also played a signfigant role in the Paladins defensive success. Harris recorded three tackles, including 1.5 sacks and even batted down a couple of passes.

Steve Shanley continues to manage the offense and not turn the ball over. Shanley completed 18-30 passes for 281 yards and a pair of touchdowns.

Paramus Catholic is just over a week away from playing New Jersey powerhouse Don Bosco Prep. Don Bosco has already lost a game this season and will be looking to upset the Paladins in Ramsey.
