Paramus Official Election Guide

Voters will go to the polls Tuesday to decide among four council candidates for the two available seats and seven for the first ever November Board of Education election and there are county and state seats up for election and of course, the Presidential election to decide on.

Polls open in Paramus at 6 a.m. and will remain open until 8 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 6. Click here for the full recap on poll locations and district information. You can also find your polling location and summary ballot here.

Paramus Republican council incumbents Michael Rohdieck and Dennis Arslanian seek to retain their seats. They face a challenge from Democrats Patsy Verile and Donna Warburton.

In the first ever November election of the Board of Education trustees seven residents have come out to place their name on the ballot.

Incumbents Bernadette McCausland, Frank Straka and Anthony Feorenzo Jr. are all seeking reelection this year. They face challengers Usman Chaudhary, Caroline Suh, Alison Donoghue, and Judith Abel.

New Jersey voters won’t just be choosing the next president on Election Day —the state has two questions on the ballot that could have an impact on your wallet. The referendum questions deal with extra funding for colleges’ infrastructure and benefits payments for judges.

There are 17,381 registered voters in Paramus. During the last presidential election, the borough predominately supported John McCain (6,885 votes) over Barack Obama (6,386).
