Paramus Formally Dedicates Veterans Affairs Office
Office will serve as resource and information center
Following the annual Memorial Day parade and services Monday, Paramus community members gathered to formally mark the dedication of the brand new Veterans Affairs Office, a new resource and information center for its veterans.
"I know today is traditionally set aside for those who made the ultimate sacrifice for their country but today we give back to all those who ever worn a uniform," said Mayor Richard LaBarbiera at the dedication.
The office, which is located next to the senior center, will serve as a resource and information center for veterans providing them with knowledge and access to programs and services.

LaBarbiera told the audience it was Sam Casiello, former councilman, who approached him months ago saying more must be done for the veterans and in just a few months time the borough was able to get it off the ground.
The office is run by Casiello who has volunteered to lead in the position.
