Paramus Park Seeks Approval For Movie Theater

Paramus Park Mall brought its proposal to build a movie theater and restaurant to the Paramus Zoning Board this month. The mall seeks approval for a 12-screen, 2,234-seat movie theater as part of an addition to the mall that was granted approval previously.

Guidetti Will Be Promoted to Paramus Police Captain

The Paramus governing body named Detective Lt. Robert Guidetti as Captain of the Paramus Police Department. Guidetti who has been with the Paramus Police Department since 1987 will fill the captain position which was vacated when Kenneth Ehrenberg was promoted from Captain to Deputy Chief, now Acting Chief.

Recent Paramus Retirees Make the $100K Pension List

Three more retirees - 2 from the Borough and 1 from the Board of Education - have made the $100,000 state pension club, according to New Jersey Watchdog's latest report. The report shows that a total of 26 retired employees between the Paramus Board of Education and the Borough are on the list of 1,474 retirees statewide who make more than $100,000 a year in state pension.

Paramus Park Presents Movie Theater Plans

Paramus Park Mall plans to use previously approved expansion space for a movie theater and restaurant. The mall returned to the Zoning Board this month night five years after previously receiving approval to expand by about 88,000 square feet with plans to use all of that space for a movie theater with stadium seating and a restaurant.

Assault Complaints Against Real Housewives Stars Move Forward

A Ridgewood judge ruled that there was enough probable cause to have complaints of assault and terroristic threats issued against three cast members of The Real Housewives of New Jersey following a recent blood brawl. Ridgewood Municipal Court Judge David Pfund reviewed complaints filed by Johnny Karagiorgis, 38, of Paramus, alleging that cast members Joe Gorga, Chris Laurita and Jacqueline Laurita assaulted him at the grand opening of Posche 2 clothing boutique.

Paramus Police have charged a New York man with the theft of a $15,000 2-karat diamond from the Route 17 Diamond Exchange and a $30,000 Rolex Yachtmaster 2 wrist watch from the Route 4 Jewelry Exchange.
