Paramus Police Officer Struck by 85-Year-Old Driver
Paramus Police Officer Kurtis Massey was injured when he was struck by a car while directing traffic Thursday morning.
A Paramus Police Officer directing traffic suffered a compound fracture to his leg when he was hit by a Honda Accord driven by an 85-year-old Waldwick resident Thursday.
Officer Kurtis Massey, 27, was directing traffic on near the corner of Glen Avenue and Paramus Road. Veronica Asdoorian was making a left turn onto Paramus Road when she struck the Massey. Asdoorian received a summons for careless driving.
Massey, who suffered a compound fracture to his lower left leg, was transported to Hackensack Medical Center where he is being treated for his injuries. According to Paramus Chief Kenneth Ehrenberg, Massey is in good condition.
