Paramus Zoning Board Will Hear School Expansion Plans

The Yavneh Academy will come before the Paramus Zoning Board of Adjustment this Thursday with plans to add on additonal classrooms, lobby and passageway area to its existing Farview Avenue school building.
The plans also include adding more parking spaces. A number of variances are sought including a use variance for the expansion which is a non-conforming use. Other variances relate to the proposed parking area and proposed buffer on the property.

The Yavneh Academy is a modern orthodox Yeshiva, which provides its students with a superior Judaic and secular education. The school is pre-K to grade 8.
The hearing will begin Thursday, May 9 at 7:30 p.m

That same night the Zoning Board will hear from Valley National Bank which seeks a use variance in order to to renovate an exisiting building on E. Ridgewood Avenue as a medical office.

Paramus mayor and council conduct its first work session meeting for the month this Tuesday, May 7 at 7 p.m.
The Paramus Board of Education has scheduled a regular meeting Monday, May 6 at 7:30 p.m.
This weekend The Rug Importers hosts its grand opening for its new store on Route 17 South. The store closed its old location above Karl's Appliances recently and now returns in its new spot just a few doors up on Route 17.
A big celebration is planned incuding a ribbon cutting ceremony and big giveaways starting at 11 a.m. Saturday, May 11.
