Patch Star Student Athlete: Adrian, Paramus High School

PARAMUS, NJ — We all know student athletes who also bring their A-game to other parts of their lives.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize these heroes making a difference in their communities. We’re working to let all your neighbors know the individual stories behind the leaderboard.

He attends our son’s school.

What sport does the star student athlete play?

Football and baseball

Why do you believe the star student athlete should be recognized?

Adrian is an amazing young man in sports, in our community and academically. He stands out in everything he does. He’s a leader among his teammates; he’s very respectful and a caring friend. Coaches, parents and teachers always speak highly of Adrian. He always excels in everything he does, whether in sports, school or the community. Adrian suffered a sports injury last season and he couldn’t play. But this did not prevent him from showing up every day to practice to support his teammates, and to offer his mentoring to motivate his fellow players. Adrian had an amazing comeback this season and won North Jersey Football Player of the Week for Week 5. It shows just how resilient he is. He also volunteers in the summer, coaching younger kids in football camp.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star student athlete?

Adrian is a delight to have around. He radiates commitment, leadership and resilience in everything he does.
