Pedestrian Struck, Killed In Hit-And-Run Crash In Bergen: Prosecutor
Authorities are seeking the public's help in identifying a suspect in the hit-and-run crash that left a 21-year-old pedestrian dead.
BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — Police are asking for help in identifying a suspect wanted in a hit-and-run crash that left a pedestrian dead.
A vehicle struck 21-year-old Jossy Israel Laguna-Matamoros Friday in Ridgefield Park, and then fled the scene, Bergen County Prosecutor Mark Musella said.
The Hackensack man was pronounced dead on the scene as a result of injuries he sustained in the 11:10 p.m. crash, Musella said.

The identity of the deceased was withheld until Tuesday evening.
An investigation is ongoing, and anyone who witnessed the crash or has information about the circumstances is asked to call 201-226-5532.
