'Mad Panic' After Copter Drops In American Dream Pool: Latest Updates
DreamWorks Water Park remains closed days after a prop helicopter fell into a pool and injured four people, officials confirmed.

BERGEN COUNTY, NJ — A prop helicopter dropped into an American Dream water park kiddy pool this weekend and left four people injured, according to officials and a New York Post report.
DreamWorks Water Park in East Rutherford was ordered closed after the helicopter's drop about 3 p.m. Sunday, according to mall spokesperson Jessica Griffin.
"We voluntarily suspended operations immediately following Sunday's event and remain in lockstep with the state as we continue to coordinate on the investigation," Griffin said Tuesday. "The safety of our guests is our highest priority."

One person was hospitalized and three others hurt, all with non-life threatening injuries, and all other guests were evacuated, New Jersey State Police Sgt. Philip Curry said.
The ages and names of those injured were not released, though park-goers, the Post reported, said the chopper fell into a "fun zone" designed for toddlers.

"Mad panic," wrote Twitter user Miss Markowitz. "We’re safe."
The state Department of Community Affairs issued a cease operations order and an unsafe structure notice and launched an investigation, spokesperson Lisa Ryan said.
"At this time, the (DCA) does not have an estimate on when the investigations will be complete," Ryan said.
Construction officials and the DCA's Amusement Ride Safety Unit, and New Jersey State Police are investigating.
This is the second high-profile accident at American Dream in the past three months. In December, a man died after a fall on the ski slopes at Big SNOW, Patch previously reported.
