Restaurant 'Steaks' Claim on Paramus with a Mighty Shake
The Midwestern restaurant chain, Steak 'n Shake, will officially open its Paramus doors on Thursday
Even with the pouring rain on Tuesday evening, the weather did not dampen the hungry appetites of those Bergen County residents that braved the elements to check out New Jersey's first ever Steak 'n Shake restaurant at the Paramus Park Mall. The premier VIP event offered a limited menu to residents in advance of their grand opening on Thursday.
"We are thrilled to open our first Steak 'n Shake Signautre restuarnte in New Jersey," Sardar Biglari, CEO of Steak 'n Shake said. "A counter-service-only format primarily serving time-honored, bets-loved favorites: Steakburgers and milkshakes. Steak 'n Shake Signature is truly an extraordinary concept and we are delighted to bring it to Paramus."
Founded in February 1943 in Normal, Illinois by Gus Belt, Steak 'n Shake has prided itself for the past 75 years on providing 100% organic beef hamburgers that were ground into patties from a steak. Also highlighting the menu are its hand-cut fries from russet potatoes and hand-dipped milk shakes.

"Paramus is the perfect location for us," General Manager Mike Moen said. Moen previously helped open the first-ever New York franchise location in Times Square. "We're excited to be the first in New Jersey. We have a great reputation, incredible food and fantastic prices. There is a Steak 'n Shake way to prepare it - you have to try it to see for yourself."
Located between the Old Navy and LL Bean entrances to the mall, Steak 'n Shake will officially open for business on Thursday 10am following a ribbon cutting ceremony. Items on the menu range from 1.99 up to $7, similar to prices across the Midwest, and include a variety of items from breakfast and lunch to dinner and dessert.
