Rug Importers Returns to Paramus in New Location

The store will host its grand opening event Saturday, May 11 at its new Route 17 South location.

The Rug Importers will host a grand opening celebration Saturday, May 11 for its new location at 491 Route 17 South, Paramus.

The store closed its former location which was further south on Route 17 above Karl's Appliances back in February and now returns in its new 10,000 square feet location.  The store will continue to carry the first quality hand-knotted traditional antique Oriental designs along with transitional and contemporary collections from China, Tibet, India, Pakistan, Turkey, Afghanistan and Europe.

The grand opening celebration event will be held from 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on May 11. The event will begin with a ribbon cutting ceremony which will be presided by Paramus Mayor Richard LaBarbiera.

In celebration of the new store, Rug Importers will raffle off 8 ft. x 10 ft. area rugs, a $2,000 value, every hour. Anyone over the age of 18 will be eligible to win by visiting the store that day and filling out a raffle form. A new winner will
be picked at the top of every hour and must be present to receive the prize.

Giving back to the community, store owners Syed Hussaini and Tariq Qari will donate a percentage of the opening day sales to the Children’s Aid and Family Services, Inc. of Paramus – an organization that provides family support, adoption, foster care and elder care services to Northern New Jersey.

Representatives will be at the store throughout the day to provide information on their services.
