Saluting Local Champions and Zoo Boo ReturnThis Week

Here's a sneak peek of what's coming up in Paramus this week.

MONDAY: The Board of Education meets at 7:30pm.

TUESDAY: The Council meets at 7pm for a work session in the lower level Caucus Room to continue discussing new policy regarding Paramus Police promotions.

WEDNESDAY: Rosh Hodesh: It's a Girl Thing, a once-a-month program for girls in grades 7 and 8, and Shevet Achim: The Brotherhood, a once-a-month program for boys in grades 7 and 8, will be forming in Northern New Jersey at the end of October. There will be a free informational "Taste of" program for boys, girls, and a parent, at 6:30pm, at the Jewish Community Center of Paramus, E. 304 Midland Avenue, Paramus. THURSDAY: The Zoning Board of Adjustment meets at 7:30pm to continue hearing an appeal Cacciatore et al regarding an application on Route 17 followed by Diamond Cutter Realty, 28 Farview Terrace, which is requesting to renovate a first floor space in an existing office building for medical office/physical therapy center.

FRIDAY: Bergen County Executive Kathleen A. Donovan and the Department of Human Services, Division on Disability Services will be hosting the 14th Annual “Salute to Champions” from 10am to 12pm at Bergen Community College in the Moses Family Meeting and Training Center/Tech Building.

WEEKEND:  Zoo Boo returns to the Paramus Zoo all weekend with trick-or-treating, ghostly storytelling, magic shows and an eerie express train ride around the zoo. Take your little ones out on Friday, 6 to 9pm; Saturday 11am to 2pm or 6 to 9pm.
