Teens Flee Police In Stolen Car, Cause Crash In Bergen County: Cops
New York teenagers who fled police in a stolen Honda Civic hit two vehicles stopped in traffic in Paramus, police said.
PARAMUS, NJ — New York teenagers fleeing police in a stolen car on Thursday hit two vehicles stopped in traffic while exiting onto New Jersey Route 4 in Paramus, Deputy Police Chief Robert Guidetti said.
Parris Lamont Dennis, 18, of Jamaica, New York, was arrested on two counts of aggravated assault while eluding, possession of a stolen vehicle, resisting arrest and eluding police. He was also issued summonses for reckless, careless and unsafe driving.
Shahiem McCrimmon, 19, of Bronx, New York, was charged with possession of stolen property and resisting arrest.

An alert was administered through Saddle River's police force that a stolen 2019 Honda Civic eluded officers. The Honda, which had Vermont license plates, was spotted on State Route 17 near Garden State Parkway by a Paramus officer, who attempted to stop the vehicle. But the vehicle fled, and the officer did not pursue, Guidetti said.
Moments later, the wanted vehicle crashed into the two vehicles in the area of State Route 4, and the two men ran east across the highway and were then seen on Farview Avenue at Farview Terrace, police said.

Police chased after them in the rear of the residential section, apprehended them and transported them to the Bergen County Jail pending their first court appearance, police said.
