Walk Now For Autism Speaks at Bergen Community College Sunday

Annual event raises funds and awareness

Thousands from all over North Jersey are once again expected to make their way to Bergen Community College campus in Paramus this Sunday to take part in the annual Walk Now for Autusm Speaks event.

The annual walk is a fun-filled, family friendly event which helps fund vital research and raises awareness for this developmental disorder, said to be the fastest growing one in the nation.

The walk will be held Sunday, May 19 beginning at 10:30 a.m. Registration and check-in will start at 9 a.m.

There will be numerous activities taking place throughout the event beginning at 9 a.m. with  community resource fair, family and children's activities and the WeHeart Dance Troupe.

At 9:10 a.m. there will be a performance by Melanie Rodriquez and opening ceremonies and National Anthem will follow at 10 a.m. leading into the start of the walk.

Participant parking is in the student parking lot A.

Those who raised $150 or more will get a Walk Now for Autism Speaks T-shirt. Individual walkers who raised $1,000 or more will be invited to join the Grand Club area open from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m.
