Zinburger Gourmet Burger, Wine Bar Comes to Paramus

Zinburger officially opens its doors Tuesday, Jan. 15 with a ribbon cutting and grand opening ceremony.

The wait is almost over. Just one more day until Zinburger, the gourmet burger and fine wine bar, opens its doors at Garden State Plaza.

The Paramus location marks the second one in New Jersey for Zinburger, which has locations throughout parts of the country originating out of Arizona.  There are many area folks who are already big fans of the upscale burger experience through the Clifton location, which opened about two years back.

Now the Paramus location is expected to also be a big hit.

Located right on the ground floor nestled between JC Penney and Nieman Marcus, people were flocking over to the new restaurant looking to get inside while the restaurant opened its doors to a invited guests for a VIP sneak preview in preparation of the big official opening this Tuesday.

An upscale dining experience for the burger and wine lover, Zinburger pairs each burger with the perfect wine, explained Michelle McGuire, vice president of emerging brands for The Briad Group a licensee for Zinburger. And the wines are affordable ranging from $5 to $15 a glass, she says.

There’s also salads and featured shakes, a new one each month (January is the Butterfinger shake) and floats. There’s also selection of beers on tap and in the bottle for the beer lover as well. 

The 5,300 square foot restaurant features the sleek, contemporary and upbeat Zinburger look and features a full bar which McGuire says is sure to be the hot spot at happy hour. The restaurant features 11 high definition televisions in the bar and dining areas which seats about 188 people.   

Everything is made fresh and in-house. In fact the meat is grinded on premises in a special cooler kept at 40 degrees at all times. McGuire says they strive to serve all the food made each day. Nothing is ever left over and always made fresh each day.

A familiar face from the Clifton restaurant is heading up the kitchen at the new location. Chef Sean Wenz who started with the Clifton Zinburger as its souz chef if the head chef here at Paramus.

The grand opening ribbon cutting and celebration will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 15.

The brand new business is starting out by giving back to the community as Zinburger will donate 15 percent of its sales from the first four days – Jan. 15 to Jan. 18 – to the Paramus Education Foundation. 

The restaurant is open Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to midnight. Happy hour is from 3 to 6 p.m. and Sundays wine bottles are half-price.
