1 Ejected From Car, 2 Hospitalized After Rt. 80 Crash Thursday

Single-car accident went off side of the road in Parsippany, state police said.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – Two people were hospitalized and one motorist was ejected from a vehicle Thursday morning on Route 80 in Morris County, State Police Captain Stephen Jones said.

Around 10:45 a.m. a Toyota Scion heading westbound near mile-marker 45 drove off the side of the highway and into the bushes for unknown reasons, Jones said. As a result, a rear passenger, 20 years old, was ejected from the vehicle. That motorist was alert when emergency personnel arrived on scene, Jones said.

Both victims were taken to Morristown Medical Center by ambulance. Their identities have not yet been released.

While the single-car accident investigation continued Thursday afternoon, there were no delays in the area, Jones said.
