Fatal Accident In Parsippany Claims Life Of Sussex County Man

PARSIPPANY, NJ—A Sussex County man died and two others were injured when a pickup truck crashed into a construction vehicle on Rt. 80 West in Parsippany on Monday evening, state police said.

Frank Orlando, Jr., 26, of Wantage, was driving west on Rt. 80 around 8:30 p.m. Monday night with a Newton woman in his pickup when it crashed into a large utility truck. The truck was in the left lane near mile marker 46 and was involved in a mobile construction detail.

State police said Orlando sustained fatal injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene. The driver of the truck and Orlando's 31-year-old passenger were treated for non-life threatening injuries. A state police spokesman said the accident is under investigation.
