Man, 21, Dies From Self-Inflicted Gunshot Wound at Morris County Shooting Range

Prosecutor says incident was isolated and there is no threat to the community.

A 21-year-old man died as a result of a self-inflicted gunshot wound Saturday night at the RTSP Shooting Range on Route 10 in Randolph, Morris County Prosecutor Fredric Knapp said.

Randolph police responded to shooting range at 7:30 p.m. Saturday night and learned a man, who will not be identified by authorities, fatally shot himself while inside the gun range, Knapp said.

The man was taken to the hospital but succumbed to his injuries.

While the matter continues to be investigated, there is no threat to the community and Knapp says this was an isolated incident, and no criminal charges are expected.
