Open Forum Set To Meet New Parsippany School Security Personnel
Event set for June 20 on Parsippany Road.

PARSIPPANY, N.J. – The Parsippany-Troy Hills School District is on the cusp of changing its security protocol in a major way, and wants to the public to be informed.
On June 20, Mayor James Barberio, in conjunction with the school district, will hold an open forum at 7 p.m. at the Dr. Frank A. Calabria Education Center on Parsippany Road, where residents may meet the new Director of School Security and School Resource Officers who will be patrolling the halls of several district buildings in the 2016-17 school year.

It was announced in April that Parsippany Lt. Brian Down would assume the position of Director of School Security, and full-time school resource officers would be placed in each of the middle schools and high schools.
