Parsipanny Adult Video Store Sold Synthetic Drugs: Police
Authorities said that the owner and an employee of the Route 46 store had been selling synthetic drugs to customers since last year.

PARSIPPANY, N.J.– Authorities said an adult video store on Route 46 in Parsippany has been selling synthetic drugs to costumers since last year.
Both the owner of Video Boutique, Jeffrey Namer, and an employee, Gamage Jayantha of Parsipanny, are facing charges after more than 100 packages of synthetic drugs were seized from the store, Parsippany police said in a release.
The men were charged on Oct. 12 with possessing and selling imitation Xanax and nail polish removers purported to be inhalants, the Daily Record reported.

Jayantha, 60, allegedly sold the imitation Xanax and 132 capsules labeled "Xantopia" to an undercover police officer, the Daily Record reported.
Namer and Jayantha were both charged with conspiracy to distribute imitation controlled dangerous substances, conspiracy to distribute prescription legend drugs, conspiracy to distribute toxic chemicals, possession of imitation controlled dangerous substances with the intent to distribute, possession of prescription legend drugs with the intent to distribute, possession of toxic chemicals with the intent to distribute, as well as multiple counts of distribution of imitation controlled dangerous substances, distribution of prescription legend drugs and distribution of toxic chemicals, the release states.

Jayantha is being held on $125,000 bail in the Morris County Correctional Facility, police said.
Namer was arrested on Oct. 14 and released after he posted $150,000 bail, police said.
