Parsippany-Based Construction Company Working on World's Largest Indoor Vertical Farm
Hollister Construction Services is nearing the completion of phase one on AeroFarms, a 69,000-square-foot facility in Newark.

PARSIPPANY, N.J.– A Parsipanny-based construction company is nearing the end of the first phase of work on the world’s largest indoor vertical farm.
Hollister Construction Services's latest venture is AeroFarms, a 69,000-square-foot Newark facility that will produce up to two million pounds per year of leafy greens, according to a press release.
The facility will operate 24/7 and feature processing, shipping and receiving, growing and cooling space, and laboratories, the release states.

Driscoll's warehouse space more than doubled and in five years will allow the company to add 350 jobs, according to the press release.
“New Jersey’s location, with proximity to large cities such as New York and Philadelphia, and access to reliable infrastructure and America’s busiest seaport, make it an ideal location for food manufacturing and distribution,” said Hollister President Kieran Flanagan. “Other assets, such as a skilled workforce and long-term economic growth trends, indicate that the recent expansion of food-related facilities will continue.”
HCS has been working across the Garden State, completing the second phase of construction on the Newark Farmers Market – which included a 127,000-square-foot freezer warehouse – last year, according to the press release.
Locally, HCS built Jockey Hollow Bar & Kitchen in Morristown and Common Lot in Millburn, the press release states.
But the Parsipanny-based company is also doing its work in N.Y. – beginning the renovation of Hunts Point (Bronx) warehouse, according to the press release.
