September Is Childhood Cancer Awareness Month In Parsippany

Parsippany Mayor Michael Soriano declared September 2020 Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in the township

PARSIPPANY, NJ—Parsippany Mayor Michael Soriano has declared September 2020 Childhood Cancer Awareness Month in Parsippany-Troy Hills.

"I encourage all residents of the township of Parsippany-Troy Hills to observe Childhood Cancer Awareness Month," said Soriano, "and support this cause that so deeply impacts families in every community across our country."

According to the National Pediatric Cancer Foundation, cancer is the number one cause of death by disease among children. More than 40 children per day are diagnosed with cancer in the U.S.

"Too many children are affected by this deadly disease," said Soriano, "and more must be done to raise awareness and find a cure."
