Route 88 Closed In Point Pleasant Due To Utility Issue

POINT PLEASANT, NJ — Route 88 is closed Wednesday between River Avenue and Beaver Dam Road, Point Pleasant police said.

The closure is due to a utility emergency, police said, but the Nixle alert did not explain further the nature of the emergency.

Drivers should avoid the area and plan alternate routes, police said. They did not give an estimate on how long the closure will last.
