RHS Women's Soccer Coach Inducted Into Hall of Fame
Coach Jeff Yearing has led the Lady Maroons for 25 seasons and has piled up the accolades

On Sunday December 4th, at the annual New Jersey Girl's Soccer Coaches Association (NJGSCA) state awards banquet in Edison,N.J., Head women's soccer coach Jeff Yearing was inducted into the New Jersey Girls Soccer Coaches Association (NJGSCA)Hall of Fame.
Coach Yearing's induction presentation was given by his varsity assistant coach Kristen Caldwell, who also serves as the North 1 representative on the executive committee of the NJGSCA. The award was given in recognition of Coach Yearing's "Hard work and dedication toward the advacement of girls soccer in New Jersey."
Yearing has served as head coach of the Ridgewood program for 25 years, accumulating a 405-113-26 record with 15 league titles, 2 county tournament championships and 4 state sectional championships while reaching the county finals 4 times and the state sectional finals 7 times.
Yearing's teams have won the National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA)Team Academic Award 13 of the 14 years of its existence and has had teams ranked as high as # 7 nationally in NSCAA polls.
Previously Yearing was inducted into the NJSCA (New Jersey Scholastic Coaches Association) Hall of Fame in 2003.
He recieved the NJGSCA award for "Distinguished Service in 2008 for his work on the state level with various committees of the NJSIAA and the NJGSCA.
In 2003 he was recognized by the NJSIAA (New Jersey State Interscholastic Athletic Association.) with their "Sport Award" for contributions to the development of women's soccer across the state.
In 2009 The National Soccer Coaches Association of America (NSCAA) recognized Yearing at their annual national high school coaches breakfast with a "National Letter of Appreciation" for his work developing the women's high school game at the national and international level.

Since 1993 Yearing has run his international women's soccer club program, "Jersey United," and has had over 300 young women from New Jersey and beyond travel to seventeen different countries to compete and train at the highest international levels. In 2011 that program was combined with the Bergen's Best Soccer Camps program to form the Bergen's Best Soccer Club. In 2011 BBSC traveled to Holland, Germany, Sweden and Denmark, giving 27 young women from New Jersey a great international football experience.
Yearing also served on the advisory committee for the now defunct WUSA New York franchise in women's professional soccer, "The New York Power".
Coach Yearing was named NJGSCA North 1 state Coach of the Year in 1991 and 2002 while recieving Bergen County Coach of the Year honors in 1993.
He was named to "Who's Who Among America's Teachers" in 1994, 1996, 1998, 2000, 2002, 2004, 2005, 2006.
Coach Yearing was joined in recieving his honor by his wife Dr.Barbara Yearing and their son Tadd Yearing Esq. of Summit, N.J. Coach Yearing's daughter and former RHS player Nancy Yearing could not join her dad and former coach in the celebration, but offered congratulations by phone. Ms. Yearing currently resides in Los Angeles Ca. and works in the entertainment industry.
