Thursday: Taste Region of Italy at A Mano

Also, NJASK student reports (grades 3-8) to be given to parents by end of September

1)  its . Five-hundred tickets will be sold with some big winnings to be had. Winners will be chosen November 7, at Indian Trail Club in Franklin Lakes.

2) According to RPS eNews' August 31 edition, the New Jersey Department of Education is saying that individual student reports from the spring NJASK (grades 3 through 8) will be in district hands in early September and redistributed by the district before the calendar turns to October.

3) Still no official word from the council if it will grant sports groups the permission to play games at Hawes Field; sports groups are since the high school fields are out of commission. The BOE had no objection to Somerville, Travell, Willard and Kenilworth being used.

4) There are still homes in The Lawns without power even as the clock strikes...Thursday. Patch has been sent numerous frustrated e-mails from residents in the area, all wondering why it's taking so long. PSE&G says folks should be patient. 

5) A Mano is doing its bi-weekly Taste of Italy tour (no relation to Steve Perillo that we know of) on Thursday night. For $30, each guest gets a four-course meal from one of the 20 regions the restaurant is featuring. Tax and gratuity are not included; reservations recommended.
