Man Struck By Train In Scotch Plains Under Investigation: Police
A 52-year-old Scotch Plains resident was struck by a train on Feb. 1 and pronounced dead on the scene, according to police.

SCOTCH PLAINS, NJ — A 52-year-old man was struck by a train on Feb. 1 on the Conrail main tracks, according to Scotch Plains Police Department.
The incident occurred on the railroad tracks located south of the County Club apartment complex off of Martine Avenue. Union County emergency medical personnel arrived, and the man was pronounced dead at the scene.
Upon arrival, officers were met by a Conrail Southern engineer and conductor who had stopped the westbound train and directed the officers to the man who was hit. He was later identified as a Scotch Plains resident.

The Union County medical examiner removed the deceased.
This incident is still under investigation, according to Scotch Plains Police.
