All Summit Buildings To Have Delayed Opening Due To Icy Weather

The City announced that all Summit locations will have a delayed opening due to ice on the roads Friday.

SUMMIT, NJ — All city locations in Summit will have a delayed opening on Friday due to the icy weather.

The City announced that all buildings will not open until 11 a.m. because of the icy travel conditions on local roads.

The National Weather service issued a Winter Weather Advisory for Union County until 1 p.m. on Friday.

Rain or freezing rain before 2pm, then a slight chance of rain between 2pm and 4pm. High near 40. East wind 7 to 11 mph becoming west in the afternoon. Winds could gust as high as 24 mph. Chance of precipitation is 100%. Total daytime ice accumulation of less than a 0.1 of an inch possible.
