Apple Pie Contest To Be Held At Summit Farmers Market
The apple pies will be judged on the quality of their crusts, filling and appearance on Sunday, Oct. 2.
SUMMIT, NJ — Back by popular demand, amateur bakers are invited to whip up their best apple pies for a contest at Summit Farmers Market on Sunday.
The Sunday Fundays at the Farmers Market Apple Pie Contest will take place on Oct. 2 at 10:45 a.m.
Judging of the pies will begin at 11 a.m. The apple pies will be judged on their crust, filling and appearance, according to an announcement by Summit Downtown Inc.

After the pies are judged, the public will be able to sample them.
Those participating in the contest must make their pies from scratch, but pre-made crusts are allowed.

Entrants must also bring a copy of their recipe to the contest with them. You can pre-register for the event here.
The Farmers Market is located at 22 Deforest Avenue and is open every Sunday from 8 a.m. to 1 p.m.
