Attempted Car Theft In Summit Tuesday Afternoon: Police

A man dressed in all black attempted to enter a car parked in a Summit resident's driveway Tuesday afternoon, police said.

SUMMIT, NJ — An attempted car theft occurred on Edgewood Road near Springfield Avenue in Summit Tuesday afternoon, according to Summit Police.

A man attempted to enter a car parked in a driveway on Edgewood Road at around 3:54 p.m., police said. He then fled the scene in an older model, four-door silver sedan toward Springfield Avenue.

The man is described as having a thin build, wearing black pants and a black shirt with a hood over his face.
