Bestselling Author to Visit Middle School, New Clothing Boutique Opens This Week
Downtown trick-or-treating, sponsored by Summit Downtown, Inc., will be held from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Thursday.

New York Times best selling author R.J. Palacio will visit Lawton C. Johnson Middle School at 7 p.m. Monday for a presentation and book signing.
Trick or Treating in downtown Summit is scheduled for Halloween from 2:30 to 5 p.m. Participating merchants will display a Halloween poster in their windows to designate that they will be handing out treats to children who are trick or treating after school on Halloween.
Femmebot clothing boutique will open Thursday. Summit Mayor Ellen Dickson will be joining the Femmebot team at the new store, for a ribbon cutting ceremony at 4 p.m. Additionally, Femmebot will be partnering with local businesses for a grand opening party featuring special promotions and giveaways from 5 to 9 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7 at the new store. The event is open to the public.
The Summit Playhouse Kicks Off Season Friday, Nov. 1: "The Game's Afoot" at The Summit Playhouse will run November 1st, 2nd, 7th, 8th, 9th, 15th and 16th at 8pm and 2pm on the 10th. Tickets are available at www.brownpapertickets. com or 1.800.838.3006. Single tickets are $20 for adults, $15 for students (18 and under).
