Summit Ready to Celebrate 4th of July
The 65th annual celebration takes place at Soldier's Memorial Field starting at 9:45a.m.

Join us for Summit's 65th ANNUAL 4th OF JULY CELEBRATION! Experience the sense of community as we celebrate the history of our great country. From our old-fashioned family fun events to the fabulous "Cameos" Concert and the Grand Fireworks Display, this event is sure to please!
All events through the City of Summit are alcohol free. Please bring your own lawn chairs and blankets for the Grand Fireworks Display.

- CHILDREN'S DECORATED BIKE PARADE - Get creative kids! Decorate your bikes, dress up in costumes and show your patriotic spirit. It's not only a bike parade, but also a contest. During the Decorated Bike Parade, Celebrity Judges will choose winners from three prize categories: Preschool, Ages 5 - 7 and Ages 8 - 10. Winners in each category will receive trophies. Every participant receives a certificate.
- POLKA DOT CONCERT FOR KIDS - Join "Polka Dot" for some sing-a-long musical fun and kids' comedy. Children just love "Polka Dot" and parents do too!

- CHILDREN'S RIDES, GAMES & AMUSEMENTS - Ride the Giant Slide, explore the Fairy Tale Castle, jump around in the Moonwalk Rockets. There are lots of surprises in store for kids of all ages. Play games of skill and win some prizes. Create some sand art or take a ride on a train. It's lots of fun!
- "THE KOOTZ" IN CONCERT - There's nothing more American than good old rock and roll. "The Kootz" will have you up and dancing. It's rock and roll for all ages.
- EMERGENCY SERVICES SOFTBALL GAME - Come and cheer for Summit's bravest and finest in this annual softball game pitting the members of the Summit Volunteer First Aid Squad, the Police Department, and the Fire Department against each other! See them battle for the Summit Chamber of Commerce Trophy.
- FOOD AND REFRESHMENTS - Come hungry and enjoy a full lunch fare, soft drinks, cotton candy, popcorn, ice cream, and lots of goodies!
- "THE CAMEOS" IN CONCERT - "The Cameos" are a talented nine-piece oldies/vocal harmony group who create and perform their own unique renditions of the most popular songs of the 1950's and 60's with a little 70's added in for good measure. "The Cameos" consist of five musicians and four singers who blend together a special mix of smooth perfected vocal harmonies with captivating musical energy to bring a modern and sophisticated feel to this fabulous music of years gone by. Fans of all ages love "The Cameos!"
- GRAND FIREWORKS DISPLAY - The spectacular Grand Fireworks Display will begin at 9:15 immediately following the Concert. Bring your blankets and lawn chairs and settle in for a glorious show, celebrating the USA. Everyone will be seated in the upper part of the field for the fireworks display. Get there early and relax. Refreshments and souvenirs will be available for purchase. Please allow extra time to get to the field. Walk, bike, or carpool with friends.
