Woman, 85, Seriously Injured in Mountainside Accident
The woman was flown by Medevac to University Hospital after an automobile accident on Route 22.
A Medevac helicopter flew an elderly woman to University Hospital this afternoon after the woman was injured in a serious accident that ran her vehicle off the road on Route 22, according to a witness and Mountainside police.
The accident occurred some time after 3 p.m. on Sunday on the eastbound side of Route 22, past Mountain Avenue. The helicopter responded to calls for aid and landed in an open area near borough hall.
Mountainside authorities did not provide any further information. The woman's condition is not known at this time. Please continue to check Patch for further details.
