Bicyclist Shot At In Toms River Neighborhood; Teen Charged With Attempted Murder
Police say the teen knew the bicyclist; at least one more person is being sought in connection with the shooting.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A teenager has been charged with attempted murder after authorities said he shot at a man riding a bicycle through a neighborhood off Whitesville Road on Tuesday, Toms River police said.
Toms River police were called to the Friendly Village neighborhood, off Whitesville Road and Route 70, for reports of gunshots about 4:05 p.m., Lt. Gene Bachonski said.
The victim told police he was riding his bicycle on Camino Medio in the neighborhood when the teenager shot at him, Bachonski said.

"Multiple rounds were fired," he said. The bicyclist was not hit but some of the bullets did hit neighboring houses, Bachonski said.
Authorities are hoping someone can identify the silver car seen in a photo from the scene, along with the person in the black outfit.

The teen in the white T-shirt in the photo has been identified and has been charged in juvenile complaints with attempted murder and unlawful possession of a weapon, Bachonski said.
The Ocean County Sheriff's Crime Scene Investigation Unit responded to document the scene and collect evidence. The juvenile suspect (in white shirt) has been identified and juvenile complaints were approved and signed for Attempted Murder and Unlawful Possession of a Weapon.
